Homewood police reports Jan. 9-10

Police are on the lookout for a middle-aged woman allegedly responsible for stealing just over $60 of socks and lotion from the 183rd Street Walgreens, according to reports. The woman was reported stealing the items just after 3 p.m., reports say.

Damaged Car

Someone “punched in” the lock area of a Homewood woman’s car sometime between midnight on Jan. 9 and 3 a.m. on Jan. 10 on the 3000 block of Olive Road, according to reports. The estimated damage is $150.

SUNDAY, JANUARY 9

Speeding With Marijuana

20-year-old Ki Kadeen Harris of the 17000 block of Magnolia Dr. in Hazel Crest was charged with possession of marijuana, speeding and possession of drug paraphernalia after police pulled him over for speeding on the 18600 block of Riegel Rd. just before 10:30 p.m., according to reports. Police say Harris was going 51 miles per hour in a 25 mph zone. Loose marijuana scattered around the center console, according to reports. Police say they recovered 8 grams of marijuana total as well as a glass pipe.

Stolen Patron

Mary Conway, 21, of the 15700 block of Myrtle Ave. was charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing a bottle of Patron tequila from Kmart just before 7 p.m., according to police. Reports say an accompanying juvenile was also arrested and charged with retail theft for stealing a separate bottle of Patron.
