The student who was attacked told WLS he was cornered, hit in the back of the head and choked. Two other students were hurt as well, WLS reported.

Moore was arrested Monday, according to the station.

In the wake of the incident, parents told WLS they are considering pulling their children from District 160 and are calling for Superintendent Duane Meighan to resign and for an investigation of the district to be conducted.

Meighan at a school board meeting Tuesday told parents to bring their concerns to him, according to WLS.

In a message Friday, the school acknowledged “an incident involving a student and staff member” but contended narratives circulating on social media were inaccurate and said the involved staffer would not return to the school, WGN reported.
