JOLIET, IL — Joliet Mayor Terry D'Arcy, acting as the liquor commissioner, is urging the Joliet City Council to follow his recommendation to enhance the night life and entertainment offerings on the city's northeast side, along Collins Street.

The City Council memo also reveals that there are already 53 — yes, 53 — active city of Joliet liquor licenses within a one-mile radius of the proposed Brava Banquet facility.

The Council will vote at Tuesday night's meeting on a Class E liquor license for the La Pupusera Company doing business as Brava Banquet. The Brava Banquet hall will be located at 671-675 Collins Street in the San Diego mall development on the west side of Collins Street and south of Elwood Street.
