Child Porn Producing Babysitter Jailed For Violating Sex Offender Registry: Cops
She and her boyfriend posed as babysitters to get at children.

JOLIET, IL — A homeless Joliet woman who served 15 years for molesting and taking sexually explicit photos of children she was supposed to be babysitting was jailed again Thursday night for allegedly violating the state’s sex offender registry.
Lydia Garcia, 39, was booked into custody shortly after 7 p.m. Her bond was set at $200,000.
In 1998, Garcia and her boyfriend, Kevin Halfmann, 41, were arrested when it came to light they had been posing as babysitters to trick parents into leaving children in their care, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Halfmann is still in prison and is not due to be released until 2027.
While he was in prison in 2011, Halfmann claimed his rights were violated when the Illinois Department of Corrections would no longer allow him to have a copy of the Satanic Bible, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. His case went to trial, at which he testified, "With Satanism, there ain't no sin.”

A federal judge shot down Halfmann’s bid to have access to a Satanic Bible, the Christian Post reported.
The Post-Dispatch reported that Halfmann was actually an atheist, “testified that he needed the book to practice his religion, which, he said, primarily meant following the ritual of 'self-happiness’ and having fun on the main holidays — one's birthday and around Halloween.”
While she was registered as a homeless person with the state police, Garcia was supposed to be residing in Romeoville.
