The father was jailed on drug and weapons charges and his sons were released on their own recognizance.

JOLIET, IL — A west side dad and his two sons were arrested Saturday night after the cops raided their home and seized an arsenal of firearms.

Jack Mills, 47, was jailed on 17 counts of possessing a firearm as a felon, the manufacture or delivery of cannabis, and possession of cannabis. Mills’ son Jackson Mills, 20, was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. Another son, 19-year-old Eli Mills, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Jackson and Eli Mills were released on their own recognizance.

Police raided the Mills’ Reflection Court home about 10:30 p.m. Saturday. Officers reportedly seized five handguns, five shotguns and four rifles. Officers also found marijuana and other, unspecified drugs, police said.

Mills and his son live next-door to the family of a teenager charged with murdering a man outside his home last month. Rodolfo Trujillo, 19, allegedly stabbed 25-year-old Rudy Valdez during a dispute over $40 of bad marijuana.

Trujillo remains in custody at the county jail while his case is pending.

Police say the supposedly drug related murder had no connection to the drugs and money recovered from the house next-door.
