Racial Slurs Yelled At Pace Bus Station Security Guard In Downtown Joliet: Cops
Mindaugas Stanevicius returned to the property approximately 10 minutes later and was placed into custody, Joliet police said.

JOLIET, IL — Joliet police have now released details surrounding last week's two arrests of the 49-year-old man who was evicted from a property in Wilmington on Peotone Road. Joliet police say Mindaugas Stanevicius, of Orland Park, was arrested and released on a notice to appear on charges of disorderly conduct and two separate counts of criminal trespass.
According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, at 9:49 a.m. May 20, Stanevicius approached an officer conducting foot patrol at the Pace Bus terminal at 50 S. Chicago St. and grew angry at the officer’s presence.
Stanevicius refused to leave when asked and yelled racial slurs at a nearby security guard, English said. Stanevicius was placed into custody, processed and released on a notice to appear.

Just hours later on the same day at 12:13 p.m., other officers responded to Harrah’s Casino at 151 N. Joliet St. for an unwanted person.
Officers arrived and learned that Stanevius was previously banned from the property. Officers issued Stanevicius a city ordinance violation for trespassing and released him at the scene. Stanevicius returned to the property approximately 10 minutes later and was placed into custody without incident, English pointed out.

Joliet Patch previously reported that on Feb. 28, a 68-year-old Wilmington property owner filed an eviction lawsuit against Stanevicius at the Will County Courthouse. He had not paid the $300 per month rent he owed for the previous 15 months, since January 2024, court records reflect.
"He feeds my diabetic dog on insulin the wrong food to kill him. He throws his garbage on my property. He cooks on my stove and consciously walks away from burning pots. He threatens and taunts me. He threatens to put my body on Peotone Road. Traffic runs at 70 mph," the senior citizen Wilmington property owner wrote the court.
