Joliet 2023 Endorsements: Police Labor Council, AFSCME, Trades
Joliet's voters will elect the mayor and five Joliet City Council seats on April 4. It's the biggest Joliet city election in many years.

JOLIET, IL — One of the first noteworthy political endorsements came in December when the Joliet Police Supervisors Association made a unanimous endorsement for Terry D'Arcy as the next Mayor of Joliet. Now, the Joliet Police Department's much larger union, the Joliet Police Labor Council, announced it is backing two-term incumbent Bob O'Dekirk for mayor.
"The Joliet Police Officers Labor Council is proud to announce our endorsement and support of Mayor Robert O'Dekirk for the 2023 election," Joliet Police Labor Council Secretary John Perri wrote in a letter.
The Joliet Police Labor Council is led by Officer Anton "Tony" Lakota now that Mike Devito retired last May.
