This Joliet Man Was Not Happy With His Meal At New West Jefferson Street Restaurant: JPD
In late May, a brand-new sign and logo for the Carnitas Moroleon De Don Jose Mexican Restaurant was installed by a Joliet sign company.

JOLIET, IL — A new West Jefferson Street restaurant that opened over the summer, replacing the Tony's Place Mexican Food, was the site of a Joliet police arrest involving one out of control angry customer in recent days.
Police informed Joliet Patch that 40-year-old homeless resident, Peter McCloud, was taken away in handcuffs on battery and disorderly conduct charges. McCloud also spent two days in the Will County Jail for a different Joliet police arrest in October. He was also incarcerated in 2021 and 2022. The jail lists his address as Chicago's South St. Louis Avenue.
According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, at 6:56 p.m. last Saturday, Nov. 22, the officers responded to Carnitas Moroleon De Don Jose at 2141 West Jefferson Street for a disturbance. As the officers arrived, they found McCloud inside the restaurant yelling and visibly upset.

English noted that McCloud entered the restaurant and ordered a meal. Upon finishing his meal, it is alleged that McCloud was unhappy with the meal and began yelling and threatening a female employee, causing a loud disturbance.
A male employee intervened, and it is believed that McCloud struck the male twice on the arm, the Joliet police revealed.
