JOLIET, IL — Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your Mom extra special?
My whole life, my mom has always done for others! From opening up her home to all our friends, to making sure everyone ate. Now as adults with our own children, she’s still doing that. With 17 grandkids the amount of love she shows to each and every one of them is amazing for a person to
love that much! That’s why she’s so special to me!
Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?
She deserves it because she may have birthed only 5 kids, but so many people around Joliet refer to her as MAMA! because that what she is. She’s there when you need her!
