JOLIET, IL — For the fourth time since May 2024, 31-year-old Joliet resident Marcus Hall is in the Will County Jail. Joliet police say his latest arrest happened Monday night and he's facing charges of domestic battery, unlawful restraint plus assault, criminal trespass and criminal property damage from a previous incident.

According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, at 8:06 p.m., officers responded to an apartment complex in the 1100 block of Parkwood Drive for a disturbance. At the scene, the officers located Hall and a woman in a vehicle.

As the officers approached, the woman quickly got out of the vehicle and appeared in distress. English said the woman was in the parking lot with her young daughter and police alleged that her ex-boyfriend, Hall, demanded that she get into his vehicle and then grabbed her and pulled her into the vehicle. Her daughter ran inside into the apartment. English said Hall initially prevented the victim from leaving the vehicle, but she escaped when the officers arrived.
