Joliet Mom 'Will Do Anything For Anybody,' Always Helps Those In Need

JOLIET, IL— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

This submission comes from J brocks, who nominated Michal Aleb of Joliet.

What makes your Mom extra special?

Michal Aleb is not my mom, however she is a mom. Michal and I met about 5 years ago. She is a hardworking mom who happens to be the nicest, most selfless woman I have met in my entire 40 years on earth. She has a husband and child, full-time job and feeds our "friends" that are on the streets and will do anything for anybody that is less fortunate or needs help. Day in and day out she is helping others all while maintaining her life and home. She got her full-time job to help "friends" (those in need mostly those on the streets), not only does she feed those without shelter, she will get hygiene supplies, blankets, coats—anything. I've seen this amazing woman help with housing, Christmas toys for children, clothing food and so much more. Michal is the definition of a saint.

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

She is beyond amazing.
