JOLIET, IL— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

What makes your Mom extra special?
My mom is selfless, she will give the clothes off her back to her children or anyone. She would not hesitate to give a meal, a place to stay, or her last dollar to anyone in need. Throughout her own life and struggles she still is the best mom in this planet and had gone so far to help others.
Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?
She’s so special I want everyone else to know! The best gems are usually under a rock.
