Locked Up Man Charged With Attempted Jailhouse Rape

The Bolingbrook was slapped with sex charges.

A locked up Bolingbrook man allegedly attempted to rape another man in the Will County jail.

Jaquawn Davis, 20, was charged with attempted criminal sexual assault, attempted criminal sexual abuse and aggravated battery.

On Sept. 9, Davis “attempted to commit an act of sexual penetration” with a man identified only as “S.B.,” according to a criminal complaint filed in Will County court. Davis pulled down S.B.’s pants and touched his body, the complaint said.

The complaint does not say whether S.B. was also an inmate.

Less than a month after the alleged sex attack, Davis struck a correctional officer, according to a separate criminal complaint. He was charged with aggravated battery in connection with that incident.

Davis has been locked up since Aug. 17, according to jail records. He was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident and leaving the scene of an accident.
