Joliet Drug Dealer Captured In Plainfield, Lots Of Guns Recovered During Joliet Police Raid: Cops

JOLIET, IL — The Joliet Police Department was responsible for going to Plainfield to capture a 48-year-old man who is accused of several crimes involving cocaine distribution. Joliet Police also advised that a large number of guns were confiscated as part of their investigation against Josue Ocon.

According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, shortly before 8 a.m. on Wednesday, members of the Joliet Police Department Narcotics, Tactical, K9 and Patrol units executed a search warrant at a residence in the 14000 block of Meadow Lane in Plainfield.

English said that prior to executing the search warrant on Meadow Lane, tactical officers took the Plainfield resident, Ocon, 48, into custody during a traffic stop near Center and Evans Place in Plainfield.

During the Joliet police stop, Ocon had a handgun in his possession, English told Joliet Patch.

Afterward, the officers executed the search warrant at Ocon's residence, where more guns were recovered, including two handguns, a shotgun, a rifle and ammunition, the arrest report noted.

"The search warrant is related to an ongoing investigation in which Ocon is accused of selling narcotics to undercover officers," English said.

Ocon was processed at the Joliet Police Department and was charged with five crimes of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, cocaine, and unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 500 feet of a school. He was subsequently taken to the Will County Jail, where he remained on Thursday.

"This case remains active, and additional charges may be pending," English emphasized.
