Lockport Man Fell Off Stairlift When Seat Broke: Lawsuit
The man was riding the stairlift down from the second floor when the seat broke and he fell off, the lawsuit said.

A Lockport man “suffered a severe shock to his nervous system” when the seat of a stairlift he was riding on broke and he fell off, according to a lawsuit filed in Will County court.
Paul Peterson sued Bruno Independent Living Aids and Chicago White Metal Castings.
Peterson was riding his SRE-3000 Elan Straight Rail Stairlift down from the second floor of his Lockport home in August 2014 when the seat broke, the lawsuit said. This allegedly caused Peterson to fall off the stairlift.
Peterson suffered great pain and discomfort, the lawsuit said.
