Man Screaming About Murder Inside Porta-Potty Tackled 2 Cops Who Pulled Him Out: Police

The officers were unsure if someone was locked inside the porta-potty with the screaming man, police said.

A man screaming about murdering someone while locked inside a portable toilet tackled two cops after they pulled him out on Thanksgiving morning, police said.

The officers were unsure whether there was anyone inside the portable toilet with the screaming man, who refused to come out or even open the door, police said.

The officers were called to the toilet on Van Buren Street in the first minutes of Thanksgiving morning after a 52-year-old man reportedly heard someone inside the porta-potty “yelling, screaming about killing a person,” police said.

The officers knocked but the man inside the portable toilet, 41-year-old Shauntel Dudley, would not answer them, police said.

The officers forced the door open and ordered Dudley to exit the portable toilet, police said, but he told them, “You’re going to have to pull me out.”

The officers proceeded to do that but Dudley “charged” them and all three men ended up on the ground.

The officers reportedly subdued Dudley and took him into custody. He was transported to the Will County jail and his bond was set at $75,000.
