Carmen Enriquez, of Joliet, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at the Lightways Hospice Home.

Carmen was born in Lockport, IL and was a lifelong Joliet area resident. She was deeply involved in church and faithfully served as a leader in the Assembly of God Church, where her dedication, compassion, and unwavering faith touched the lives of many. Her greatest joy came from being surrounded by family and cherished time spent together. Carmen took deep pride in the love, strength, and closeness she shared with those dearest to her.
Carmen is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Daniel Enriquez; loving sons, Andrew Enriquez and Louis (Erica) Enriquez; five adoring grandchildren; three cherished great-grandchildren; her dear sisters, Theresa Lopez, Lillian James, Esther Rodriguez; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Vicenta (Salazar) and Emilio Diaz; her son, Daniel Enriquez, II; and siblings, Alphonse, Rose, Paul, Margaret, Isabel, Manuel and a brother in infancy.
Visitation for Carmen Enriquez will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd (at Essington Rd), Joliet, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 5:00 p.m. Friends and family will meet at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. for a Prayer Service. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Joliet.
