'Selfless' Joliet Dad Is 'Always There To Help Others'

JOLIET, IL— Father's Day is the perfect time to give a big thanks to all the dads who put smiles on our faces. Joliet, meet Tommie Poe.

What makes your dad extra special?

He is selfless, always there to help others and NEVER puts himself first. He gives back to his community by helping others old and young. No matter what happens, I know I can call him and he will have a nonjudgmental ear. He worked multiple jobs to ensure our needs were met, and he still managed to be a present father.

Why do you feel your dad deserves the spotlight?

He wouldn't want the spotlight, but he deserves it because he never puts himself first or in the spotlight. He is always showcasing someone else.
