What makes your Mom extra special?

My mother came to the United States at the age of 17 to live with her father and help bring her siblings. The oldest of 6, she helped raise her younger siblings. After marrying and having two kids, my father left and she she worked tirelessly to give us the best life. She managed to put my brother and me through school and myself through college as well as purchase a home to call ours, all as a single parent. Also with no further education than the 3rd grade. She is the prime example of a mother that deserves the world for always putting her children first. As an immigrant it can be stated that she has achieved the American Dream.

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

She gave up her own personal life to raise two children on her own. She always put my brother and me first.

Happy Mother's Day to Imelda Lucila Serrano Arias, and thank you for all you do!
