The teenage girls started a fight with other patrons and one broke a glass, police said.

JOLIET — Two teenage girls brawled with diners at the South Larkin Avenue Stake ‘n Shake early Tuesday morning, police said.

One of the young women, 18-year-old Alexis Garcia, was drunk and broke a glass during the 2 a.m. altercation, police said.

Garcia was “drunk, disorderly and yelling” at two customers from the front of the restaurant, police said.

Steak ‘n Shake surveillance video shows Garcia approach the two customers and start throwing punches, police said.

Garcia was then joined by Jade Watkins, also 18, who punched the two diners as well, police said.

Garcia and Watkins, who both live in the Joliet Junior College student apartments on Centennial Drive, according to police records, were charged with battery and disorderly conduct. Garcia was also charged with criminal damage to property for allegedly breaking the glass.

The two teens were released on their own recognizance.
