$20K In Equipment Stolen In La Grange: Cops
In another case, a woman was accused of stealing at a local school, police said.

LA GRANGE, IL – In recent days, La Grange police handled cases involving work van burglaries, theft, retail theft and stolen bicycles. Here is information from the latest La Grange police reports:
Work van burglaries
- Sewer equipment valued at $20,000 was stolen Tuesday from an unlocked work van in the 10 block of North La Grange Road.
- Various power tools were reported stolen June 10 from an unlocked work van near The Elm restaurant, 23 W. Harris Ave. The investigation continues.

- An 18-year-old Westchester woman was arrested Tuesday on a theft charge. She was accused of stealing property from someone's purse June 4 at St. Francis Xavier Parish, 145 N. Waiola Ave.
- Money was reported stolen from an unsecured purse June 11 at Meadowbrook La Grange nursing home, 339 Ninth Ave. The resident wasn't in the room at the time.
Retail theft
- Two teenagers stole body spray valued at $11 on June 20 at Walgreens, 2 N. La Grange Road.

- An unlocked bicycle was reported stolen Monday at La Grange Fitness, 536 East Ave. The suspect was identified. The parties agreed to settle the matter among themselves.
- An unlocked bicycle was reported stolen Tuesday from the bike rack at the La Grange Field Club. The bike was valued at $550.
