3 Crimes In La Grange In Last 2 Weeks: Reports

LA GRANGE, IL – The police department for La Grange, with a population of nearly 16,000 people, reported three crimes in the last two weeks. Here is information from the reports:

Vandalism

  • A utility was reported spray-painted with graffiti Jan. 16 in the 700 block of West Maple Avenue.

Identity theft

  • A resident in the 10 block of Sixth Avenue told police Jan. 17 that a popup on a computer instructed the resident to call and divulge personal information. No financial loss was reported.

DUI

  • A 33-year-old Romeoville man was arrested about 5 p.m. Jan. 14 on West 55th Street on charges of DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving an uninsured car.
