Appeal Your Tax Assessments, Lyons Township Residents Urged
Those upset with their taxes are asked to appeal by next Tuesday.
LA GRANGE, IL – Lyons Township homeowners have until Tuesday to appeal their property tax assessments.
Last year, 62 percent of homeowners who filed appeals directly to the Cook County Board of Review had their property tax bills reduced, one of the board's commissioners said in a news release Friday.
"My office is committed to ensuring that property tax valuations are correct and fair. If you think your home’s value was over-assessed, we are here to help," said George Cardenas, an elected commissioner whose district includes Lyons Township.
