Brainard Avenue Train Crossing to Close Thursday for 7 Days

Work at the Brainard Avenue crossing on the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad will restrict traffic flow for 7 days beginning July 19.

You'll need to find a new route for a week to get from one side of La Grange to the other if you use the railroad crossing on Brainard Avenue.

Crews will be working on the tracks there beginning Thursday, July 19 and continuing through Thursday, July 26. The project is expected to take seven days total as crews widen the crossing by nine feet to better accommodate commuters and pedestrians.

Traffic will be diverted on Burlington and Hillgrove avenues to the Kennsington Avenue crossing to the east.
