In The Giver, Jonas’ world is perfect. There is no war or fear or pain. But when Jonas turns 12, he is chosen for special training from The Giver—to receive and keep the memories of the community. The Giver is the only person who holds the memories of real pain and real joy. Now Jonas will learn the truth about life—and the hypocrisy of his utopian world. Lois Lowry’s powerful novel comes to life in ways that will be meaningful to audiences who are already fans of the book and to viewers who are sure to be inspired to read this series for the first time.

Performances will be in our intimate Cattell Theatre, so seating is limited. Tickets are $6 for students 18 and younger and $12 for adults. Tickets may be purchased by calling 708-246-3380 or at theatreofwesternsprings.com Group rates are available. All performances take place at the Theatre of Western Springs, 4384 Hampton Avenue, Western Springs, IL. Free parking is available.
