ComEd to Update Electrial System in La Grange

ComEd will replace over 1,000 feet of underground cable on Edgewood Avenue in a project expected to benefit 366 customers in La Grange.

In La Grange's first major project to improve ComEd's system reliability since , crews will be working on replacing 1,115 of underground cable on Edgewood Avenue beginning on Monday, Dec. 5.

According to La Grange's Department of Public Works, the work will take about a week to complete and will be done on Edgewood Avenue between Birks Court and 51st Street. Residents will still have access to their driveways while work is being completed and residents should not experience any outages.

The project is the first of several planned upgrades to the village's electrical infrastructure. It is estimated that the project will benefit 366 La Grange ComEd customers.
