The Village Board candidates are newcomer Carla Carter and incumbent trustees Peggy Peterson, Lou Gale and Glenn Thompson. This is the first competitive Village Board election since 2017, while the last contest for village president was two decades ago.
Carter already has a campaign website. On it, she said she and her husband, Brad, moved to La Grange's west end from Chicago in 2018. She said they were drawn to La Grange's schools. Her oldest daughter is in college while her other two teens attend Lyons Township High School.
