Dad-Son Duo Works At Hodgkins UPS Facility
They've worked a decade together, driving more than 2 million safe miles, the company said.

HODGKINS, IL – The Hodgkins UPS facility has a story to offer just in time for Father's Day.
It has a father-son team, Scott and Kevin Stovicek, who have celebrated a decade driving a UPS semi-truck together. They've driven more than 2 million safe miles, according to UPS.
The men agree that it's more an opportunity than a job, according to a UPS news release. They spend four days in a row on the road.

“We have a lot of laughs in the truck. We’ve gotten to see things together and both appreciate the job,” said the father, Scott, who lives in Lombard.
Son Kevin, a Darien resident, said, "We're getting our best bonding in while it lasts."

When their dream team called the "Rolling Stoves" ends, Kevin plans to go on daily trips, the news release said.
"Nobody can take my dad's spot," Kevin said.
Scott is nearing retirement after 35 years in the industry.
UPS said the father and son also spend time off the clock. For instance, they bought a 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner a few years ago. They've worked on it, and on the weekends, they take it to local car shows, the company said.
“We’re not just father and son, we’re best friends too,” Scott said.
