My husband gets up at 5:30 in the morning, while we are all still asleep in bed. He gets breakfast going for the kids, so that when they wake up, it’s there for them. He gets my morning coffee and my allergy pill ready for me on the counter. Then he goes off to work every single day, no matter what the weather is like of course. But also no matter what viruses are out there. He has had to buy his own masks and gloves. He never complains. He comes home from his work, his shirt once light blue, has turned black from all the mail he’s carried. All the germs he’s gotten on him all day. Unknown people he is serving every day. He go straight downstairs to the basement puts everything in the laundry to keep us safe. He showers immediately so that there’s no way we could pick up anything he may have picked up himself. When he does come home at 5, 6, 7 o’clock at night, he still has an open heart and loves to play with his children. Until he hears about their day as he puts them to bed. He is an amazingly courageous guy, to risk his life every day by doing the right thing to serve his country. My husband is a quiet hero!
What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?
He is a quiet (behind the scenes) hero.
