Downtown La Grange Juice Business Planned

LA GRANGE, IL – A downtown La Grange business wants to include a juice business in its space, but it needs the village's zoning approval first.
Waterlemon Kids at 25 S. La Grange Road is asking for permission for Benny Be Good to prepare products in Waterlemon's kitchen and sell them within Waterlemon's space.
Waterlemon is seeking for Benny Be Good to be allowed as a commercial food preparation facility under La Grange's code. But regulations bar such a business within 400 feet of another such facility.

In Waterlemon's case, the nearest similar business – Chef Beau's Klean Kitchen – is 391 feet away, according to village records.

Last year, Waterlemon asked for permission to sell beer, wine and liquor, but later withdrew the request. Opening in 2017, Waterlemon has a license that lets adults bring their own beer and wine.
According to the village, Waterlemon is a combination of a retail children's boutique, café and children's play space.
The La Grange Plan Commission is set to review Waterlemon's latest request Tuesday.
