Driver Vomited, Spit, Dropped Names During DUI Arrest: Police
She verbally berated officers for arresting her, police say.

Riverside, IL — Police had to make do with a vulgar mug shot when a woman charged with drunken driving made the booking process "very difficult" for her arresting officer.
A Riverside police officer tried to pull over Hazel Rojas, 44 of the 3300 block of South 60th Court in Cicero, at 3:27 a.m. June 17 after she didn't move her car when the traffic light turned green at Harlem and East Quincy, according to Riverside police.
But when the officer pulled his car behind hers, she drove 20 mph in the 35 mph zone while straddling the lanes.

Rojas eventually stopped, and the officer reported smelling alcohol on her breath and inside her car. The officer asked if she'd been drinking, and Rojas said she hadn't had anything to drink. She said she worked at a place where alcohol is served and some had spilled on her clothes, causing the smell, police reported.
Rojas failed all the standard field sobriety tests, and "at one point she was swaying so badly she almost fell into the arms of the arresting officer," police reported. She refused a Breathalyzer test.

When police told Rojas she was under arrest for drunken driving, she insulted the officers, all law enforcement and the officers' families, police reported. She asked the officers not to arrest her because she has many friends who are police officers in other suburbs, and she dropped their names.
Rojas complained of a previous shoulder injury, and she was taken to McNeal Hospital, where she was examined and found to have no injuries.
Once back in police custody, Rojas refused to have her picture taken and made vulgar hand gestures in her mug shot. She also spit and vomited, police reported.
Rojas was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the posted minimum speed limit, illegal lane usage and driving under the influence of drugs (Diazepam). She was in possession of Diazepam when arrested, police reported.
