Drug Bust In La Grange Neighborhood: Cops

LA GRANGE, IL – A drug bust occurred early Monday morning in a south La Grange neighborhood, police said.

It took place about 6 a.m. in the 800 block of South Catherine Avenue, police said. The village announced the police activity on Facebook.

In response to a Patch inquiry, Village Manager Jack Knight said the police department served a search warrant for suspected drug activities at the Catherine address.

Numerous people were found in the house and taken into custody, Knight said.

"The investigation of illegal narcotics activities remains ongoing and charges are pending," he said in an email. "At no time was there any threat to the public during the service of this search warrant."

La Grange police worked with other agencies during the operation.
