Sunday, July 28
Pretend Throwing Turns into Real Throwing
Two teens—one from Brookfield and one from La Grange—got into a fight with a man after they pretended to throw things at his car in the 300 block of East Avenue around 5:56 p.m., police said. After they exchanged words, one of the teens actually did throw a piece of wood at the car, causing a small dent, police said. The verbal fight continued, but when police arrived, the man in the car decided not to pursue charges.

Jessica Vega, 29, of the 8000 block of Archer in Willow Springs, was arrested around 6:26 p.m. near the intersection of La Grange and Harris, police said. She was charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license.

Reckless Driving on Calendar
A man was driving in circles and traveling the wrong way in the 0-99 block of Calendar Avenue around 12:03 a.m., police said. Jose Montoya-Garcia, 20, of the 8600 block of 47th Street in Lyons, was charged with reckless driving, police said.
Boxer Mix Bites Man on Calf
A bird dog/boxer mix bit a man on the calf on Saturday in a backyard near the intersection of Sawyer and Washington, police said. The dog owner said that the victim was asking to borrow money at the time of the bite and asked police to tell the man to stay out of his yard.

Fireworks on Sawyer
Fireworks were reported in the 100 block of Sawyer Avenue around 9:36 p.m., police said. All was quiet when officers arrived.

Someone squirted mustard on a car parked during the evening on the first floor of the downtown parking garage, police said.
Friday, July 26
Dapper Dumper
A man who was wearing a suit dumped four garbage bags full of beer cans into a Dumpster at Creative World Montessori School, 1250 W. Goodman, around 10:38 a.m., police said. The man’s mother said she would apologize to the school and talk to her son about the incident.
Phone Scams
A man received a call around 1:59 p.m. stating he was entitled to a $9,300 property tax return, but when he called the number given they asked for personal information, police said. Officers are investigating the matter.
A woman received a call around 3:22 p.m. from a man claiming to be with the U.S. Embassy, police said. The man told her she had won money but first needed to send a payment via Western Union, police said. The woman did not send any money and did not suffer a loss.
Thursday, July 25
No Driver's License
Adalyn J. Davis, 18, of the 10100 block of South Washtenaw in Chicago, was arrested around 5:20 p.m. in the 0-99 block of North La Grange Road, police said. She was charged with driving without a license.
