LA GRANGE, IL – In recent days, La Grange police handled cases involving a fight, battery, fraud, a scam, a bike theft and a DUI. Here is information from the latest La Grange police reports:

Fight

  • A group of acquaintances got into an argument that turned physical about 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Cossitt Elementary School, 115 W. Cossitt Ave. An investigation continues.

  • A resident in the 10 block of North Drexel Avenue told police about being scammed out of $1,000 in a fraudulent dog walker scheme.

Fraud

  • A former employee accessed business checks for personal use at Monica's Superior K-9's, 1038 S. La Grange Road. The bank reversed the transactions. The report was filed Wednesday.

  • A driver was in his parked car when a person opened his door and hit him about 5 p.m. May 30 in the 10 block of South Spring Avenue.

Bike theft

  • An unlocked bicycle was stolen at Cossitt Elementary School, 115 W. Cossitt Ave. It was during a carnival. The theft was reported Monday. The bike was valued at $600.

DUI

  • A 60-year-old Worth man was arrested about 1 a.m. May 18 on La Grange Road on charges of DUI and improper lane usage.
