Garbage Truck Crashes Into La Grange Park Business

LA GRANGE PARK, IL – A garbage truck on Thursday morning crashed into Heart's Desire antique shop, 1014 E. 31st St., in La Grange Park.

Police were called shortly after 8 a.m., finding the truck embedded in the front of the shop. Officers confirmed the business was closed and unoccupied at the time.

The driver of the LRS garbage truck was treated by paramedics and taken to a nearby hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The street was closed in both directions for 2½ hours.

Police said the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
