Hope You Asked for Crispy Noodles
Noodles & Company struck by lightning early Monday morning.
According to police reports, sometime between 7:04 a.m. and 7:10 a.m. today, Noodles & Company, 1 S. La Grange Rd., was struck by a bolt of lightning.
When store personnel got there, police were already on the scene. According to store manager Emily Chase, an officer was in the area when the strike occurred.
Noodles & Company temporarily lost power in the morning, but was open for business during the day. Phones were out, employees said, but even with police tape up and the lights out, the customers still came in.

"We still had business," Chase said. "We thought it was going to be a slow day, but people kept coming in."
The La Grange Fire Department was also called, but told Patch that there was no evidence of fire damage.

"The damages were mostly structural," a spokesperson for the department said.
No injuries were reported and according to police and fire officials the area is safe for pedestrians.
The bolt of lightning knocked loose bricks on the building which fell and scattered on the street.
Fire officials said that while lightning strikes on businesses are not regular occurrences in La Grange, they do happen from time to time.
