Hunting for an Apple 1 in La Grange Studio's Local Movie

In iDig, a new in-production film by La Grange's Motion Source Video Productions, a goofball pair of old grade-school friends go hunting for the Apple 1 computer their class buried in a time capsule 36 years ago. the Suburban Life reports.

According to the paper, the film was inspired by Motion Source co-owner John Scaletta's reading of Steve Jobs' biography, and its revelation that original Apple 1s could be worth more than a quarter of a million dollars today.

As with their previous project making a commercial that appeared during the Major League Baseball All-Star Game, Motion Source is using local performers and set locations for the film, like Now Serving Cafe and Horton's, the paper said.

"We're tapping into our resources and our friends," Scaletta told the paper. "It seems like the businesses and people of La Grange really help each other out. It really has been receptive to us as a production company."
