Indoor Kids Recreation Coming To La Grange
The business, which is seeking a village permit, is set to open in March.
LA GRANGE, IL – A business offering indoor children's recreation is planned for downtown La Grange.
On Tuesday, the village's Plan Commission is considering a permit for the business, Upper's Land, at 25 W. Calendar Ave.
The business would occupy the former location of Thipi Thai restaurant. The permit's applicant is Haijin Zhang.

Upper's Land would also sell treats such as snow-shaved ice, bubble teas and flower cotton candies.
According to a village memo, an indoor children's recreation center is consistent with the village's long-term plan.
"The proposed use would occupy a currently vacant space and complement nearby retail and restaurant uses by providing an additional entertainment option for families with children," the village's planner, Kelsey Fawell, said in a memo last week. "The proposed retail and dessert sales components of the special use would generate sales tax, but the children’s indoor entertainment component would not."
According to its Google listing, Upper's Land is set to open in March.
The Plan Commission meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Village Hall.
