JULY 3: “Light Up the Night” Fireworks. Held after sunset.


BOLINGBROOK

JULY 4: Concert & Fireworks. A DJ and two live bands will perform before this year’s display.

JULY 3: 3rd of July Celebration & Fireworks. Includes a DJ and food trucks.


BURR RIDGE

JULY 3: Fireworks. “Family yard games, a balloon artist, a dunk tank and bounce house” will be on site for this family event.


CHICAGO

JULY 1: Independence Day Weekend Fireworks. “A dazzling free fireworks display.”


DES PLAINES

JULY 2: Fireworks. Music and yard games precede the display.

JULY 4: Parade. This year’s theme is “Together We Shine.”


DOWNERS GROVE

JULY 4: Parade & Fireworks. Radio host Jon Hansen is this year’s grand marshal.


ELMHURST

JULY 4: Fun Run. Includes a 1K race for kids.

JULY 4: Parade. “It’s back and better than ever.”

JUNE 30: Parade & Fireworks. Veterans and active military are invited to lead the parade with their families.

JULY 3: Fireworks "Extravaganza." Featuring “food vendors, a beer tent, amusements, face painters and more.”


LISLE

JULY 3: Concert & Fireworks. A classic rock tribute precedes the fireworks display.


LOMBARD

JULY 4: Fireworks. Hosted by the village at dusk.


MIDLOTHIAN

JULY 1: Parade. The annual event returns to 147th St.


MOUNT PROSPECT

JUNE 30 - JULY 4: Festival & Fireworks. The four-day fest includes "live music, food, beer and carnival games."


NAPERVILLE

ORLAND PARK

JULY 4: Celebration, Concert & Fireworks. “Pack a blanket, lawn chairs, your favorite snacks and beverages.”


PALOS

JULY 3: Independence Day Celebration. Includes “food, music, beer and fireworks,” plus a parade on July 4.


RIVERSIDE

JULY 3-4: Concert, Parade & Fireworks. Includes a 5K race and food vendors.


TINLEY PARK

JULY 1: Stars & Stripes 5K. Registration is open through June 28.

JULY 4: Fireworks. Plus live music and kids’ entertainment.


WESTMONT

JULY 4: Fireworks & Festival. “Walk-around entertainment, crafts, bubbles for kids, music and food trucks” will be included.


WHEATON

JULY 3: Fireworks. Lawn games and live music are planned.
