Key La Grange Corner May Be Developed: Official
A bank wants to develop a vacant parcel that is now green space, according to the village.

LA GRANGE, IL – Chase Bank is proposing a building for the vacant land on the northeast corner of La Grange Road and Ogden Avenue, a La Grange official said Tuesday.
At a Plan Commission meeting, Kelsey Fawell, the village's planner, said the bank planned to present its proposal at the commission's Sept. 12 meeting.
The land in question was paved over years ago. It has been green space for nearly a decade. It is between the Uptown La Grange Apartments and a T-Mobile store.

Fawell also said the bank wants to make improvements to its current building at 14 S. La Grange Road.
In an email to Patch, a Chase Bank spokesman said he couldn't comment on La Grange specifically. But he said the bank is opening branches where it makes sense, both in growing neighborhoods and ones without enough branches.
