La Grange Board Meets Tonight

La Grange's board of trustees will meet tonight for their regularly scheduled board meeting at Village Hall, 53 S. La Grange Rd., at 7:30 p.m. in the upstairs auditorium.

The La Grange Liquor Commission has recommended the village create two new classes of liquor licenses for the village for two new businesses coming to town: Craft La Grange and Vino E Birra.
Staff update on La Grange's economic development

Citing economic development as a "high-order strategic priority" the village of La Grange staff will be giving a presentation on current economic development activities in the village, including market place trends, the La Grange business community as well as recent and future promotional plans.
Presentation on residential solid waste program
The village's Environmental Quality Control Commission Chairman, Glen Wentink, will be present for a board discussion on the village's solid waste program tonight. The commission has decided that the village's current system is not sustainable due to rising costs and lower sales of village solid waste stickers. The board will discuss the commission's recommendation of a new plan going forward.
