La Grange Craft Show offers unique creations

Village adds some new features to 41st annual festival Saturday and Sunday in downtown La Grange.

Artisans from all over the Midwest will display and demonstrate their work ranging from jewelry to fishing lures at the 41st annual La Grange Craft Show Saturday and Sunday in downtown La Grange.

There will be 200 tents with a variety of handmade items with some of the artists demonstrating their efforts as people watch, according to information on the La Grange Business Association website.

Vintage Alley is new this year. Located on LaGrange Road between Hillgrove and Ogden Avenue, it will display artisans specializing in up cycled and restored items as well as antiques.

There will also be potential baby gifts, summer and fall florals, garden and yard stakes, pet accessories and crafts made from fabric, according to the website. Some of the more unique pieces include handmade fishing lures, mosaic birdbaths and turned wood.

For the customer looking for gifts or to add to their own collections, there will be sports photography and jewelry some made from fused glass and antique spoon jewelry.

The show will take place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. There will be an information stand near Village Hall with booths also on Harris Avenue and inside some restaurants, according to the website.
