La Grange D102 Tax Hike Wins By Wide Margin: Unofficial Results
The tax increase will amount to more than $500 a year for a $500,000 home, according to the district.
LA GRANGE, IL – By a two-thirds majority, La Grange School District 102 voters on Tuesday supported a property tax increase that officials say will pay for building improvements.
With 100 percent of precincts reporting, 3,098 voters, or 68 percent, voted for the measure, while 1,488, or 32 percent, were against it.
The vote authorizes the school district to go into debt by $82 million.
