La Grange Hits Drivers Who Text Hard

A new article published Aug. 8 in the The Doings reports that La Grange, Western Springs and Hinsdale are the towns where drivers who text are most likely to get a ticket.

"La Grange police issued 148 citations in 2010, three for texting in a school or construction zone, and 45 so far in 2011, with 13 tickets for texting in a school or work zone," Jane Michaels reported. 

Additionally, the article describes the difficulty for officers to enforce the law, with La Grange police chief Michael Holub saying his officers tend of concentrate on school and construction zones.
