LA GRANGE, IL – A La Grange Public Library board member is leaving after six terms, hailed as the library's "greatest champion."

Becky Spratford was first elected to the board in 2001. She has been its president, vice president, treasurer and secretary.

When the current library was being built in 2005, Spratford led the move to a temporary building, ensuring patrons could still access materials during the two-year project, according to a news release.
