La Grange Man Accused Of Aggravated Assault
In another case, a wallet was stolen at a local restaurant, police said.

LA GRANGE, IL – La Grange police released their latest blotter Thursday. Here is information from the reports:
Aggravated assault
- Angelo D. Almaraz, 28, who lives in the 100 block of Hayes Avenue in La Grange, was arrested about 4 p.m. June 28 at his home on charges of aggravated assault, violation of an order of protection and unlawful possession of a weapon.
Restaurant theft

- A wallet was reported stolen from a restaurant July 1 at 15 S. La Grange Road. The wallet contained a large amount of cash and a passport, as the victim was visiting from overseas. An investigation continues.
Stolen credit cards
- Credit and debit cards were stolen from someone at Meadowbrook La Grange nursing home, 339 Ninth Ave. The cards were later fraudulently used. The theft was reported June 24.
- Cash and credit cards were stolen from a resident's room at Meadowbrook La Grange nursing home, 339 Ninth Ave. No charges were made with the cards. The theft was reported July 2.
DUI

- A 36-year-old Western Springs woman was arrested about 1:30 a.m. June 25 on East 47th Street on charges of DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
- A 73-year-old La Grange man who lives in the 10 block of East Ogden Avenue was arrested about 6:30 p.m. June 25 on East Ogden on charges of DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
Retail theft
- A 26-year-old La Grange man who lives in the 10 block of Sixth Avenue was arrested about 8:30 p.m. July 1 at Walgreens, 2 N. La Grange Road, on a retail theft charge.
Vandalism
- Graffiti was reported spray-painted on a garage and fence on July 7 in the 200 block of Washington Avenue. Around the same time, graffiti was scrawled on a garage in the 200 block of East Avenue, which is a block away.
- Charred damage was found on playground equipment July 9 at Rotary Centennial Park, 114 Sawyer Ave. It was from an apparent fire.
- A portable toilet was damaged by fireworks at 47th Street and Bluff Avenue. The damage was reported July 9.
Theft
- Patio chairs were reported stolen July 7 in the 700 block of Mason Drive. The loss was estimated at $300.
- A bicycle valued at $700 was reported stolen July 11 from a locked garage in the 200 block of East Cossitt Avenue.
