La Grange Park Runner Hits His Stride

Jack Keelan from LaGrange Park was one of several local students who ran in the state track meet this weekend. Keelan ran in the 3200 meter and was the only sophomore in the final heat, before he finished 10th overall out of 38 state qualifiers with a time of 9:24.88! Other local kids who were at the state meet: 

• Jack Doyle from LaGrange was part of the Ignatius 4 x 800 relay that qualified. They ran a personal best of 8:01 minutes, but did not qualify for the finals.  
• LT ran 3rd in the 4 x 800 relay with a time of 7:44.99 minutes. Runners were Alex Economou (Sr.), Tim Pollard (Sr.), Dan Hill (Sr.), Sam Telfer (Sr.) 
• Steve Blazer from LaGrange (who attends Fenwick Academy) was 5th in the 800 meters with a time of 1.54.15 minutes. 
• Matt Harris from LaGrange came in 10th in the long jump with a jump of 21-11.25  meters.
• Dylon Fielder from LaGrange came in 13th in the high jump with a jump of 6-01.00 feet.
