La Grange Park Team Takes State
The volleyball team is the first girls sport to win in the school's history.

LA GRANGE PARK, IL — Nazareth Academy's volleyball team finished its 2021 season Saturday with a victory over Belvidere North to win the Class 3A state championship. This is the first state championship for the program or any other girls sport in Nazareth's history.
The Roadrunner volleyball program first qualified for state competition in 2019, when it finished third. There was no state series in 2020 because of the pandemic.
The Roadrunners are also the 3A Regional, Sectional and Super-Sectional champions and have received numerous accolades on their way to making history, the school said in a news release.
