La Grange Park Will Accept Applications for Citizen's Police Academy in January

20 slots will be available for two month-long sessions.

La Grange Park will be accepting applications for its Citizen’s Police Academy starting in the new year.

The academy is open to anyone interested in learning more about the policing environment, how La Grange Park is kept safe, familiarizing themselves with laws and police procedures and getting more involved in the law enforcement community.

According to a release from the La Grange Park Police Department, the topics that will be covered in the month-long course will include community policing, traffic stops and patrol techniques, safety at home, investigations and criminal law.
