Labor organization blames anti-union attacks and abuses.

LA GRANGE, IL – Employees at La Grange's Starbucks rejected an effort to unionize last week, according to media reports.

Workers United, which is affiliated with Service Employees International Union, sought to unionize the restaurant at 38 S. La Grange Road.

“Although we are greatly disappointed by the loss at LaGrange, losses come as no surprise given the anti-union attacks and abuses committed by Starbucks management daily,” Workers United International vice president Kathy Hanshew said in a statement to WTTW.
